Dr. Albert Sharf, MD is a board-certified Cardiology Specialist in National City, California. Dr. Sharf completed a residency at Cooper Hospital/Univ Medical Center. Mr. Jose Alcantar, FNP is available at both Cardiology of Southern California practices and specializes in Family Medicine, Nurse Practitioner, and Nutrition.

Mr. Alcantar is a compassionate and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner who earned his MD in Mexico and a FNP with a Masters degree here in the United States. He has over 8 years of experience working in Cardiology.
Mr. Alcantar enjoys helping his patients and wants to ensure all are diagnosed correctly, treated well, and overall feel better after visiting Cardiology of Southern California. He performs new patient cardiac cath follow-ups, heart failure diagnosis, lipid and arrhythmia medical management, EP and device management.
Jose is married and has two lovely daughters. He loves spending time with his family and being present for them as family is extremely important to him.
Mr. Alcantar enjoys Jujitsu and outdoor cycling. His favorite food is Thai food, especially drunken noodles and red curry with chicken. Before bed time he enjoys reading. He also enjoys watching action movies and investigation series. His favorite movie series is “Rocky Balboa”, especially “Rocky 4” .
Arielle Paamoni is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over six years of experience in cardiovascular medicine. She is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care and is proud to serve the San Diego community where she was raised.
She earned her undergraduate degree at San Diego State University and completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Western University of Health Sciences. Her clinical training and experience have focused on cardiology, where she is dedicated to supporting
patients in managing conditions such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, and lipid disorders.
Arielle is committed to helping patients better understand their cardiovascular health and empowering them to take an active role in their care, with the goal of improving both health outcomes and overall quality of life. She values building strong, long-term relationships with her patients and their families and brings a warm, approachable style to every encounter.
Arielle is married and the proud mother of two young children. Family time is her greatest joy, and she treasures watching her children grow and explore the world around them.
Outside of medicine, Arielle enjoys spending time outdoors, especially at the beach, hiking local trails, and exploring San Diego with her family. She also loves trying new recipes, traveling, and staying active.
